They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee and support multiple industrial construction projects, requiring strong skills in contract management, project scheduling, and team leadership.


Responsibilities

  • • Contract Compliance & Field Oversight
  • + Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
  • + Inspect field conditions to identify problems, inaccuracies, and potential cost-saving measures.
  • + Take corrective actions as needed to resolve field issues.
  • + Review subordinates’ work for compliance with contract documents; address deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
  • • Project Scheduling & Coordination
  • + Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software.
  • + Collaborate with project management personnel to gather input and ensure schedule accuracy.
  • • Document Control & Change Management
  • + Manage document control processes including logging and tracking new issue drawings and contract documents.
  • + Review new issue drawings for changes in conditions; quantify impacts and communicate with supervisor.
  • + Distribute updated documents to field teams and ensure proper implementation.
  • • Cost Forecasting & Financial Planning
  • + Prepare monthly cost projections using data from project management systems.
  • + Develop quarterly cash flow projections to support financial planning.
  • • Operational Improvement & Leadership
  • + Recommend improvements to project operations including staffing, methods, and procedures.
  • + Serve as managing project engineer/coordinator across multiple projects.
  • + Provide supervision and on-the-job training for junior engineers and project staff.
  • + Support and manage the project team, including direct reports and cross-functional personnel.
  • • Safety & Compliance
  • + Promote and enforce company environmental health and safety programs at the project level.
  • + Foster a safety-oriented culture across all project activities.

Skills

  • 8+ years of Field Engineering, or project engineering/management experience in construction and engineering roles. Proven experience managing engineers and project teams.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Working knowledge of project controls terminology and scheduling practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Highly motivated with a passion for excellence and initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical decision-making.
  • Passion for safety and a commitment to ensuring a zero-incident environment.

Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
