They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee and support multiple industrial construction projects, requiring strong skills in contract management, project scheduling, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- • Contract Compliance & Field Oversight
- + Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
- + Inspect field conditions to identify problems, inaccuracies, and potential cost-saving measures.
- + Take corrective actions as needed to resolve field issues.
- + Review subordinates’ work for compliance with contract documents; address deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
- • Project Scheduling & Coordination
- + Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software.
- + Collaborate with project management personnel to gather input and ensure schedule accuracy.
- • Document Control & Change Management
- + Manage document control processes including logging and tracking new issue drawings and contract documents.
- + Review new issue drawings for changes in conditions; quantify impacts and communicate with supervisor.
- + Distribute updated documents to field teams and ensure proper implementation.
- • Cost Forecasting & Financial Planning
- + Prepare monthly cost projections using data from project management systems.
- + Develop quarterly cash flow projections to support financial planning.
- • Operational Improvement & Leadership
- + Recommend improvements to project operations including staffing, methods, and procedures.
- + Serve as managing project engineer/coordinator across multiple projects.
- + Provide supervision and on-the-job training for junior engineers and project staff.
- + Support and manage the project team, including direct reports and cross-functional personnel.
- • Safety & Compliance
- + Promote and enforce company environmental health and safety programs at the project level.
- + Foster a safety-oriented culture across all project activities.
Skills
- 8+ years of Field Engineering, or project engineering/management experience in construction and engineering roles. Proven experience managing engineers and project teams.
- Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Working knowledge of project controls terminology and scheduling practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Highly motivated with a passion for excellence and initiative.

Education Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
