SHIFT: Days and Remote
Our clinic Administration Department is comprised of the Clinics Director, Informatics Specialist, Clinical Document Coordinator, Data Coordinator, Coders and Manager of Value Based Care.
Our health information coder analyzes patient records to translate medical information, such as diagnoses and procedures, into universal alphanumeric codes for billing, insurance, and record-keeping purposes. This role is crucial for the healthcare system to ensure proper payment, process claims efficiently, and maintain accurate patient data
Education/Certification/Licenses:
Current certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or equivalent, within twelve (12) months of hire; Associate of Science Degree in Health Information Technology, preferred;
Must possess a valid driver’s license, provide proof of liability insurance on personal vehicle, and successfully pass a driver’s license record background check (Remote workers only)
Experience:
Two (2) years’ coding experience in a hospital setting
